Martha Byrne

A ittle background on the lovely Martha Byrne!  Martha was born December 23, 1969.  She has two wonderful parents Terry and Mary Byrne and three awesome siblings Liz, Brendan, and Fran.  Martha is the youngest of the four children.  She married her wonderful husband Michael 17 years ago and they have three beautiful children Michael, Max and Ann Marie.  They reside in New Jersey.

Martha began her career at the age of ten with a two year run playing the orphan "July" on the Broadway stage in the world renowned hit  musical "Annie".  She starred in a few feature films including "Anna to the Infinite Power" as well as numerous miniseries and TV movies.  She also made guest appearances on many TV shows including "In the Heat of the Night".   Her biggest accomplishment , as we all know, was starring in the soap opera As The World Turns for over twenty years as "Lily Walsh" and for three years also playing her twin sister "Rose D'Angelo".  Martha was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award eight times and received Emmys in 1987 for Outstanding Ingenue and in 2001 for Outstanding Lead Actress for her dual role as "Lily and Rose".  After leaving her role on As The World Turns, Martha played "Andrea Floyd" on General Hospital and was a script writer for The Bold And The Beautiful.

Martha is also an amazing singer and has three hit CDs including her most recent CD "The Other Side" which includes many songs that she co-wrote as well as the hit song "Find My Way Back" that was heard on As The World Turns.  

Most recently Martha created her own web series titled "Gotham The Series".  She wrote, produced and starred in the show which was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2011 in the new category "Short Format".  Her latest venture "Show Biz Boot Camp" is a school that she started to help young people learn about and understand the entertainment industry.  Some of the talented young people may also be represented by Martha's management company Full Circle Talent Group.

Martha is very proud of her fundraising efforts on behalf of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  She has chaired and coordinated many benefits and events since 1993.  Be sure to look forward to many more successful fundraising events in the future.
